There's always a little sense of relief when I get done with a run and I post it on Strava, when I see my moving time and pace. When I'm out on these town runs, I'm taking pictures and figuring out which roads to run down and often I'll see my pace get up to 10:30 or 11:00 minutes per mile. And I know it shouldn't matter especially since these are fun runs to do, but seeing the pace jump down to 9:00 or 9:15 really is a nice way to end a run.
It was warm on today's run, but not unbearable in the midday sun. Started in the center of town as I normally do, and then ran down to Main Street which had all the shops and such on it. Along the way I stopped at a park with a little pond and a bunch of fairy houses which I should've taken more pictures of. I then ran back up to and past the town common to see the library, and then finished the run in the common.
A good way to spend my lunch hour, as I get through the towns close to me it'll be tougher to squeeze a midday run in.
